30. Mr. C. WILLIAMS

asked the Minister of Transport if he is yet in a position to state when the first report will be received from the joint committee of producers and users now considering the supply of, and demand for, granite kerb?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

I under stand that a further meeting of the committee is to take place on the 1st July, but I cannot say how soon a report will be presented.

Mr. WILLIAMS

Cannot the right hon. Gentleman hurry up this matter, seeing that there is a shortage of labour?

Mr. MORRISON

We always hurry up things, but I am not in complete control of the deliberations of the committee.

Mr. WILLIAMS

Cannot the right hon. Gentleman hurry quickly instead of hurrying slowly?
