§ The PRIME MINISTERThe official evidence stressed on several occasions the urgency of the problems before the commission and expressed the hope that they would find it possible to present interim reports, particularly with regard to the question of transitional benefit. The letter which I sent to the chairman informing him of his appointment conveyed a request in practically the same terms.
