asked the Secretary of State for India what is the present number of officers holding King's commissions in the Indian army proper; and how many of these officers are Indians?

The total at the end of March was 3,114 officers of whom 105 were Indians, in addition to 116 British and nine Indian officers on the Unattached List awaiting final appointment to the Indian Army.
