Mr. ALEXANDERThe firm in question is still noted as eligible to tender for certain stampings and flanges, but has no contracts from the Admiralty at the present time.
§ Mr. MANDERIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that this firm is endeavouring to force a wage rate of from 15s. to 20s. below the standard rate, and will he bear that in mind in placing any further contracts?
Mr. ALEXANDERI have had my attention drawn to the dispute in which this firm is engaged at the present time, and I shall not be unmindful of any representations made to me on this matter.
