As a general rule non-telegraph sub-offices in rural districts are closed altogether on Bank Holidays unless undue public inconvenience would be caused. With few exceptions telegraph sub-offices in rural districts are open for a period in the morning. Public telephone facilities are usually available when the post office is closed.
