29. Brigadier-General BROWNasked the Minister of Agriculture whether a report on the recent meeting at the Ministry on grey squirrels has been published; and what action has been taken in the matter?
§ Dr. ADDISONA report of the meeting referred to was issued to the Press on the 14th May and was given wide publicity. I am sending the hon. and gallant Member a copy. In accordance with a resolution passed at the meeting, a leaflet describing the damage done by and the methods of destroying grey squirrels is being printed and copies will be sent to County Agricultural Committees and to the various organisations representing those concerned in the ownership, management and occupation of agricultural land, urging them to take all steps within their power to encourage the destruction of this pest.
