HC Deb 15 June 1931 vol 253 cc1440-1
Mr. STANLEY BALDWIN

May I ask the Prime Minister if he can tell us what the business will be on Friday?

The PRIME MINISTER

The discussion of a Motion to confer on the Chairman of the Standing Committee considering the Consumers' Council Bill the power to select Amendments; and the Committee stage of the Consumers' Council, Money Resolution.

Sir K. WOOD

In reference to the attempt further to curtail discussion in Committee upstairs and in this House, may I ask the Prime Minister whether he has obtained the consent of his Liberal Friends?

Mr. SANDHAM

Will the right hon. Gentleman remember that seven hours were wasted on the first two lines of the first Clause of that Bill? [Interruption.] I was there, and I know.
