HC Deb 15 June 1931 vol 253 c1410
12. Mr. DAY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any claims have been made through the Foreign Office by British subjects for the loss of their possessions during the recent disturbances in Spain; and can he give particulars?

The SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Arthur Henderson)

Only three claims have been made through the Foreign Office. Particulars of these have already been given in answer to questions by the hon. Member for Finchley (Mr. Cadogan) on the 20th of May, and the hon. Member for Hallam (Mr. L. Smith) on the 12th of June.

Mr. DAY

May I ask whether these claims include those of the ladies who lost their possessions?

Mr. HENDERSON

Yes, I think so.
