HC Deb 15 June 1931 vol 253 c1430
42. Mr. CARTER

asked the First Commissioner of Works if he is yet in a position to make a statement as to the future use of the Botanic Gardens, Regent's Park?

Mr. LANSBURY

While all the necessary details have not yet been worked out, I am now able to say that it is the intention to open the gardens to the public free of charge and to maintain them as a part of Regent's Park.
