HC Deb 10 June 1931 vol 253 cc1008-9
60. Mr. LOVAT-FRASER

asked the Minister of Health the number of insured women under the National Health Insurance Act who are entitled to additional benefit, No. 9 (dental benefit), under the valuation schemes of approved societies for the second Valuation period, and the number of insured women who are, or will be, entitled to such benefit under the third valuation schemes?

Miss LAWRENCE

The number of insured women members of approved societies and branches in England having schemes of dental benefit following the second valuations was approximately 4,250,000. The complete results of the third valuation are not yet available, but my right hon. Friend regrets to say that from the results already received it is evident that there will be a considerable reduction in the number of women entitled to dental benefit.
