HC Deb 04 June 1931 vol 253 c330
3. Mr. MANDER

asked the Minister of Labour whether her attention has been called to the trade dispute concerning wages in the drop forgings industry in Willenhall recently; and what action she is taking in the matter?

Miss BONDFIELD

The dispute affects about 20 workpeople. My Department is in touch with both sides with a view to promoting a settlement.

Mr. MANDER

Is the right hon. Lady aware that this is an attempt by one firm only to depart from the standard wages agreement for the whole industry?

Miss BONDFIELD

My officers will be aware of that fact.
