HC Deb 31 July 1931 vol 255 c2636
42. Captain MARGESSON

asked the Prime Minister whether he can state when he expects to receive a report from the Committee appointed to consider the legislative and judicial powers of Departments?

The SOLICITOR-GENERAL (Sir Stafford Cripps)

I have been asked by my right hon. Friend to reply to this question. I am informed that the Committee have finished the work of taking evidence, and have made considerable progress in the preparation of their report, but I cannot state on what date it is likely that they will be in a position to present it.
