§ 19. Mr. HORE-BELISHAasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is aware of the complaints that men about to be discharged on pension after 22 years' service are not sent to their own depots during the last few months prior to their retirement to enable them to take steps to secure civilian employment; and whether, in the interests of the men concerned, he will allow them at least three months in their own depot before they retire to give them every opportunity of looking for work?
