HC Deb 23 July 1931 vol 255 c1667
45. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Prime Minister what will be the opportunity granted to the House of Commons to discuss the proposed loan for agricultural development in Palestine?

Mr. THOMAS

As stated in the despatch which has been laid before the House, it is proposed to bring before Parliament in due course a Bill by which Parliament will be asked to authorise His Majesty's Government to guarantee a loan by which the funds required for this purpose will be raised. Opportunity for discussion will then arise.

Mr. SMITHERS

Can the right hon. Gentleman state the approximate amount of the loan?

Mr. THOMAS

I cannot.
