HC Deb 22 July 1931 vol 255 cc1474-5
25. Mr. P. OLIVER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air if he is aware that no applications for short-service commissions in the Royal Air Force from applicants who have previously applied and have not been accepted are considered; and what is the reason for such a practice?

Mr. MONTAGUE

Yes, Sir; the suitability of an applicant for a short-service commission is definitely decided after full consideration on his first application, and no useful purpose would be served by considering a further application from the same candidate.
