§ Mr. GILLETT (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)In addition to normal routine reports furnished in reply 1052 to inquiries from the Department of Overseas Trade or from British firms, His Majesty's Consul at San Francisco has forwarded a number of detailed reports relating to possible openings for various classes of British products on the Pacific coast of the United States of America. As regards the last part of the question, I am asking the newly appointed Commercial Counsellor at Washington to let me have a considered report when he has had time to review the existing organisation.
