HC Deb 20 July 1931 vol 255 cc1040-1
10. Sir A. KNOX

asked the Secretary of State for India whether, on the resumption of the Round Table Conference, Indian delegates will be selected to represent urban and agrarian interests in numbers in accordance with the relative proportion of the population in town and country?

Mr. BENN

The personnel of the Round Table Conference delegates will be, generally speaking, the same as before the conference adjourned, except for a few additions. As regards the representation of agrarian interests, I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply given to a question by the hon. Member for Bromley (Mr. Campbell) on 13th November last, of which I am sending him a copy.
