asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is now in a position to make a statement as to the manner in which he proposes to deal with the deficiency in the national finances which arises from the acceptance of President Hoover's proposals?

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the total amount of extra financial commitments incurred by the present Government since its accession to office?

The expenditure apart from transitional benefit amounts to between £14,000,000 and £15,000,000 in the current year.
