§ 86. Commander SOUTHBYasked the Secretary of State for War what is the practice of his Department in administering the pay warrant of 1914 to meet he case of Array pensioners who were then serving with the Territorial forces and who were mobilised on the outbreak of war in 1914?
§ Mr. SHAWThese pensioners were dealt with as laid down in the pay warrants of 1913 and 1914, which were in force during their war service. They continued to draw pension, in addition to full pay, during their war service, which did not reckon for pension. At the end of the War they were granted an uncovenanted benefit in that their pensions were re-assessed, where it was to their advantage, under the post-war conditions and scales.
