§ 12. Sir VICTOR WARRENDERasked the Minister of Labour whether she is aware that Mr. W. Myers and Mr. F. W. Parker, employed as stokers at Spitalgate Aerodrome, Grantham, were dismissed from work in May last; that they were informed that owing to their employment having been ruled as non-insurable their unemployment insurance contributions for the past four years would be refunded to them; that as yet no refund has been made to them; and whether she will take steps to expedite this payment?
§ Miss BONDFIELDI was not aware that these stokers had been dismissed. An application for the refund of contributions paid in respect of their uninsurable employment was received at the end of May. Claims of this kind necessarily take some time to settle, but I understand that payment will be made in the two cases in question during the next few clays.
