asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any further negotiations have taken place between this country and the United States of America with reference to the reciprocal abolition or reduction of passport visa charges; and will he give particulars?

No, Sir. There have been no further developments since the reply given to my hon. Friend on the 3rd of March last.

Can the hon. Gentleman say whether it is proposed to open up any negotiations on this line?

No, Sir, not at present, for the reason given in the answer to which I have referred.
