asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can make a statement as to the position of the outstanding matters requiring settlement between the Imam of Yemen and His Majesty's Government?

§ Dr. SHIELS
No, Sir. I am not in a position to make any fresh statement. There has been no change in the position as regards the relations of His Majesty's Government with the Imam of the Yemen.

§ Mr. DAY
Can the hon. Member say whether these conversations are taking place?

§ Dr. SHIELS
No, Sir, I know of no conversations that are taking place.
