HC Deb 06 July 1931 vol 254 cc1719-20
66. Sir K. WOOD

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he is now in a position to make a statement in relation to the Irish Free State and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council?

The SECRETARY of STATE for DOMINION AFFAIRS (Mr. J. H. Thomas)

No, Sir; I have nothing to add to the replies given to previous questions on this subject.

Sir K. WOOD

Can the right hon. Gentleman state when a communication was last received from the Irish Free State upon this matter?

Mr. THOMAS

I am not sure that any communication was received, but it is equally true to say that no useful purpose is served by putting questions.

HON. MEMBERS

Why?
