§ 65. Mr. BUTLERasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has any information as to the extent of unemployment among agricultural workers in Essex?
§ Dr. ADDISONFrom such information as I have, it appears that the unemployment among agricultural workers in Essex which was experienced in the early part of the year has considerably decreased and that there are now very few such workers out of employment.
§ Mr. BUTLERIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that I know personally of 70 cases of unemployment in 14 villages in North Essex?
§ Dr. ADDISONI shall be obliged if the hon. Member will send me particulars, and I will investigate them.
§ Mr. BUTLERI shall be glad to do so.
§ Dr. ADDISONThe difficulty is that we have not power to obtain returns.
