§ 70. Mr. REMERasked the Minister of Transport if it is his intention to make any regulations with reference to the size of headlights on motor vehicles?
§ Mr. PARKINSONIt is the intention of my right hon. Friend to make regulations which would prohibit the use of headlights of excessive power. The question of size is, I think, not a material factor.
§ Mr. REMERWill the hon. Gentleman, before he actually makes these regulations, consult the French Government as to what they are doing in the matter with a view to adopting similar regulations here?
§ Mr. PARKINSONIn reply to a question yesterday, my right hon. Friend made it quite clear that he had full knowledge of the French experiments to which he has given consideration.
