HC Deb 01 July 1931 vol 254 c1272
65. Sir NICHOLAS GRATTAN-DOYLE

asked the Home Secretary whether he will consider arranging for an experiment to be made in the military control of traffic on certain occasions when, as in the case of the Air Force pageant, the ordinary methods of control are inadequate?

Mr. SHORT

The problem presented by the Hendon traffic is mainly one of road space, and my right hon. Friend does not think there is any reason to suppose that any modification of the method of control or personnel engaged at and near the aerodrome would afford a solution of the difficulties.
