HC Deb 28 January 1931 vol 247 cc946-7
33. Major ROSS

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what was the last occasion on which the fishing grounds near Port Stewart, county Londonderry, were visited by a fishery-protection vessel?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Mr. Ammon)

His Majesty's Ship "Dart" visited the fishing grounds near Port Stewart between 4th and 6th November, 1930.

Major ROSS

Is the hon. Member aware that the vessel was not seen on this visit by any fisherman in that neighbourhood and will he endeavour to give these fishing grounds more adequate protection during the next fishing season?

Mr. AMMON

I can only conclude that visibility was bad on that occasion.
