The Vice-Chamberlain of the House hold (Mr. Hayes) reported His Majesty's Answer to the Address [20th January] as followeth: I return you My sincere thanks for your loyal and dutiful Address expressing sympathy with Me in the great loss I have sustained by the death of My beloved sister, the Princess Royal. It affords Me great comfort and consolation to be assured of the cordial and sincere feelings which you entertain towards Me and the Royal Family, and to be reminded of the warm interest which you have in. all that concerns them."
