HC Deb 26 January 1931 vol 247 cc611-2
67. Mr. CHATER

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether his attention has been drawn to the scarcity of playing fields for organised games; and whether he will assist to meet this need by providing football and cricket pitches in Hyde Park?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Lansbury)

I have had this question under consideration from time to time, and I have recently provided increased facilities for the playing of football, cricket and bawls in Hyde Park. I will, however, again look into the matter.

Lieut.-Colonel MOORE

Is the right hon. Gentleman considering the others who do not play games, and their wellbeing?

Mr. LANSBURY

Yes, certainly I am.
