HC Deb 21 January 1931 vol 247 cc168-9
16. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Secretary-General of the League of Nations has commenced negotiations with the Government with a view to carrying into force the resolution passed by the eleventh assembly of the League of Nations in September, concerning the facilities to be granted to motor-vehicles travelling on League business?

Mr. DALTON

No such negotiations had been begun before the departure of my right hon. Friend to Geneva on the 14th of January last. But the present meeting of the Council of the League and of the Commission of Inquiry on European Unity will, no doubt, afford an opportunity for the Acting Secretary-General to confer with representatives of the countries primarily concerned.
