LEWISasked the Minister of Agriculture whether his attention has been called to the fact that the Argentine Government has issued a decree placing a tax of six centavos a quart on beer made from less than 50 per cent. of Argentine barley; and whether he will cause inquiry to be made as to what effect similar taxation in this country would have on the demand for homegrown barley for brewing purposes?
