HC Deb 18 February 1931 vol 248 c1228
19. Captain W. G. HALL

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether in the Navy a man is required to serve again after he has completed the period necessary to entitle him to a long service pension unless such pensioner has joined the reserve?

Mr. ALEXANDER

All naval pensioners are by Statute liable to be called up for active service in emergency.

Captain HALL

Will my right hon. Friend say under what Act that is?

Mr. ALEXANDER

The Naval Volunteers Act, 1853.
