HC Deb 18 February 1931 vol 248 c1239
42. Sir VICTOR WARRENDER

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has yet received a report from his inspector upon the condition of the Bardney Fen Road; and, if so, what action he proposes to take?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

I have now received a report on the condition of the Bardney Fen Road, from which I learn that on certain sections the surface is broken. The road is an unclassified county road, and the responsibility for its maintenance rests upon the county council. Should the council propose to carry out works of improvement on the road, I should be prepared to consider an application for a grant from the Road Fund towards the cost.
