HC Deb 17 February 1931 vol 248 c1056
37. Sir K. WOOD

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he proposes to ask the House to consider further the Consumers' Council Bill?

Mr. W. R. SMITH

It is proposed to proceed with the Consumers' Council Bill as soon as the state of business permits.

Sir K. WOOD

Does the Board of Trade still regard this Bill as urgent?

Mr. SMITH

It is an important Measure.

Sir K. WOOD

I said urgent.

Mr. BECKETT

Is not this Bill of much more importance to the country than the electoral reform Bill?
