§ Mr. G. MIDDLETON (First Church Estates Commissioner)As my hon. Friend is absent, through illness, I propose to answer this question. The working-class dwellings built by the Commissioners in the areas named do not exhaust their operations in those districts though at the moment they have no scheme in progress in any of them. As already reported to Parliament, the Commissioners are proceeding with a rebuilding scheme off the Wandsworth Road, in the borough of Lambeth: they have no similar scheme in Paddington, nor any power to make one as the owners of the estate mentioned in the question.
