asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has any information of any restrictions that have been placed on the exhibition of sound films in any of the Colonies during the last 12 months?

I have no information that any such restrictions have been imposed. If my hon. Friend will indicate any particular instance which he may have in mind, I will cause inquiries to be made.

Can my hon. Friend say whether there has been any relaxation of the old restrictions?

Dr. SHIELS

No, Sir, I am not aware of any restrictions at all on sound films.
