§ Mr. LEES-SMITHAs I informed the hon. and gallant Member in reply to his question on the 8th April last, I am unable to disclose the contract price, 32 which must necessarily be regarded as confidential.
§ Captain CAZALETCan the Postmaster-General say how long he thinks these instruments are going to last?
§ Mr. LEES-SMITHNo, but we anticipate that the life of them will be very much longer than that of the old instruments.
§ Mr. C. WILLIAMSHow long will the contract last, and are the materials all British?
§ Mr. LEES-SMITHYes, they are made by a British firm, but I cannot say anything about all the raw materials. They are only made by one firm, which is a firm established in this country.

§ Mr. LEES-SMITHI am discussing the matter with the appropriate officer of each House.
