HC Deb 04 February 1931 vol 247 c1801
36. Mr. SMITHERS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air how many aerodromes and landing places there are in the county of Moray and the county of Elgin; and will he give the names of each and the cost to the State?

Mr. MONTAGUE

There are no service or licensed civil aerodromes or landing grounds in the county of Moray or Elgin, maintenance of which entails any cost to the State. There are, however, in this county as in others, areas available for use for individual flights by arrangement with the owners on payment of a small charge on each occasion of such user.

Mr. SMITHERS

Can the hon. Gentleman say what is the present condition of the landing place at Lossiemouth?

Mr. MONTAGUE

I could not answer that question without notice.
