HC Deb 02 February 1931 vol 247 cc1430-1
46. Mr. FREEMAN

asked the Prime Minister whether he will provide facilities for the Protection of Animals (No. 2) Bill, which prohibits the hunting of deer, to be passed into law?

The PRIME MINISTER

In view of the state of public business, I fear I can hold out no hope that time will be found for the discussion of this Bill.

Mr. FREEMAN

In view of the public outcry against this barbarous form of organised cruelty, cannot the right hon. Gentleman say whether some time will be found?

The PRIME MINISTER

I should like to point out to my hon. Friend that he has not yet succeeded in getting a Second Reading for the Bill.
