Mr. McENTEEasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that, owing to the service of dangerous structure notices on certain cottages in Horseshoe Alley, Westminster, some of the tenants are liable to be evicted, and all of them are being pressed to leave by the owner's agent; that the tenants have occupied these houses for periods of 60 to 20 years, and that no alternative 2039 accommodation is being offered to them; and whether he can take steps to ensure that the city council shall exercise its powers under the Housing Acts to provide the accommodation necessary?
Sir H. YOUNGMy attention has not hitherto been called to this matter. I have, however, been in communication with the Westminster City Council, and I understand that they expect to be in a position shortly to secure that the necessary alternative accommodation is provided.

Gentleman aware that the Parliamentary Secretary to his Department is speaking in the area to-night, and will he make arrangements with the Prime Minister's Secretary to convey to the people, through that meeting, the hope, at any rate, that alternative accommodation will be provided?
