HC Deb 09 December 1931 vol 260 cc1850-1
31. Mr. GOLDIE

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of the inconvenience caused on the main Chester-Warrington road by the frequent closing of the swing-bridges over the Manchester Ship Canal and at the level-crossing gates of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway Company; and whether he will make representations to the companies concerned with a view to mitigating interference with traffic on this road?

Mr. PYBUS

My attention has not been previously drawn to this matter. I am, however, communicating with the two companies referred to by my hon. Friend, and will let him know the result.
