Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe preparation of a Return on the lines suggested would involve more labour and expense than I could regard as justified by the results. The information desired in respect of the year 1930–31 can be obtained from the Finance Accounts, 1930, already published (House of Commons Paper 106/1931), and from the Public Departments: Gross and Net Cost Return, which will be available early in the new year.
