§ 32. Captain ERSKINE-BOLST
asked the President of the Board of Trade the amount and nature of the products of the Dead Sea imported into this country during the present year; and to what countries were any re-exported?
§ 97. Major-General Sir ALFRED KNOX
asked the President of the Board of Trade the amount of the shipments of bromine and other products by the Dead Sea Company to this country since May of this year; and to what destination have these products, wholly or partly, been re-exported?
§ Mr. RUNCIMAN
During the six months ended October, 1931, the only chemicals imported into the United Kingdom and registered as consigned from Palestine were 2,480 cwts. of bromine and bromides. No such imports were registered during the first four months of this year. I am unable to say whether these imports came from the Dead Bea Company, or to which countries all or part may have been re-exported.
