HC Deb 07 December 1931 vol 260 c1499
57. Sir GEORGE HAMILTON

asked the President of the Board of Trade whethe he has yet considered the advisability of imposing an import duty on rubber manufactured goods, such as waterproofs, hot-water bottles, &c.; whether he is aware that the imports of these goods have increased during the past few months; and whether he can now announce his decision?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to the hon. Members for Barnstaple (Sir B. Peto), Ealing (Sir F. Sanderson), and South-East Leeds (Major Milner) on 25th November last.
