HC Deb 03 December 1931 vol 260 c1252
55. Mr. HUTCHISON

asked the Minister of Health how many organisations and/or local authorities (and, if so, which) have applied for approval under the Local Authorities (Publicity) Act, 1931, since its introduction; and what has been the official answer in each case?

Sir H. YOUNG

Thirteen applications for approval have been received, three of which were from local authorities on behalf of existing or projected organisations. Approval has hitherto been given only to the Travel Association of Great Britain and Ireland. The other applications have been refused, except in one case where I am awaiting further information, but means for securing cooperation between the Travel Association and local bodies are now being investigated.
