§ 82. Sir J. WALKER SMITHasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in the interests of economy, he will arrange that all Government Departments entering into building and constructional works shall use the standard forms and conditions of contract as agreed in the case of building contracts between the Royal Institute of British Architects and the National Federation of Building Trades Employers and recommended by them for general use, and in the case of constructional works the form of agreement and general conditions of contract for use in connection with works of civil engineering construction, as agreed by the Association of Consulting Engineers in agreement with the Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors and recommended by them for general use, with such additional clauses as may be necessary dealing with the standard rates of wages and other matters, if any, peculiar to Government contracts?
