SAMUELThe terms and emoluments are the same except that in Lord Trenchard's case the pay of the post (at the rate of £3,000 a year) has been abated by 10 per cent. under the Superannuation Act, 1887, because Lord Trenchard is in receipt of half-pay as Marshal of the Royal Air Force, and by a further 1234 10 per cent. as part of the measures recently introduced for securing economy in police expenditure.
