WILLIAMS)asked the Secretary for Mines whether sub-committees have yet been appointed by the Mining Association, Managers' Association, Deputies' Association, and the Miners' Federation of Great Britain, to deal with lamps in coal mines and gas alarms; and whether he has met any of these bodies to discuss the question?
§ Major COLVILLEI have been asked to reply. My hon. Friend had word yesterday that the Miners' Federation has appointed a committee, and a meeting has since been arranged for the 11th December. The other three associations have not yet replied definitely.
