Mr. COCKSasked the President of the Board of Trade whether considering the French Government has levied a duty of 15 per cent. against British goods on the ground that the British pound has depreciated and, further, considering that the franc has depreciated by 80 per cent. and the pound by less than 25 per cent., he will consider arming the Government with bargaining powers by imposing a duty of 70 per cent. on imports from France?
