§ Mr. PETHICK-LAWRENCEAn extension of the building for the newspaper department of the British Museum at Hendon is being erected, as recommended by the Royal Commission on National Museums and Galleries. The Commission considered it undesirable to reduce the demands for storage accommodation by destruction of newspapers, and it is not proposed to introduce legislation for that purpose.
